Phone Verification
During the rental application process at eaststorage.com, you will receive a one-time SMS verification code to confirm your phone number. This message is required to complete the rental process and does not require separate opt-in.
Account Notifications (Opt-In)
You may choose to receive SMS account notifications from East Storage, LLC by checking the SMS opt-in checkbox during the rental application. These messages include:
- Payment confirmation notifications
- Past-due payment reminders
- Account and lease-related notices

How to Opt In
During the online rental application at eaststorage.com/rent, you will see an unchecked checkbox labeled “SMS Notifications.” Checking this box and completing the rental process constitutes your consent to receive recurring SMS account notifications. You will receive a confirmation message upon opting in. Consent is not required as a condition of renting a storage unit.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of SMS account notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further account notification messages will be sent. Opting out does not affect your lease or account status.

Services
East Storage, LLC operates a self-storage facility at 1350 NE 70th Ave, Okeechobee, FL 34972. Our website allows prospective tenants to view unit availability, complete the rental process online, and existing tenants to manage their accounts and make payments.
Rental Agreements
All storage unit rentals are governed by a separate Rental Agreement executed electronically during the sign-up process. The Rental Agreement constitutes the complete agreement between you and East Storage regarding your storage unit rental. Electronic signatures are valid and enforceable under the federal E-SIGN Act and Florida's Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (UETA).
Payments
Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers. Late fees may be assessed after the grace period specified in your Rental Agreement. Rental of enclosed self-storage space is currently exempt from Florida sales tax; taxable space types (such as vehicle, boat, or RV storage) are subject to applicable Florida state and Okeechobee County sales tax.
Month-to-Month Tenancy
All rentals are month-to-month. Either party may terminate the rental with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, the tenant must vacate the unit and remove all stored property.
Lien Rights
East Storage has a lien on all personal property stored in your unit for rent, labor, or other charges in relation to the property, as provided by Florida Statutes §83.806. If your account becomes delinquent, we will follow the notice and sale procedures required by Florida law, including SB 386 requirements for electronic and postal notice delivery.
Limitation of Liability
East Storage provides storage space only. We are not responsible for loss or damage to stored property from any cause, including but not limited to theft, fire, water, weather, insects, rodents, or acts of God. Tenants are strongly encouraged to obtain storage insurance.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising from your use of this website or your rental agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Okeechobee County, Florida.
